1. General Eligibility
- All masqueraders must be 21 years or older to participate.
- A valid government-issued photo ID matching your registration will be required at costume collection.
- By purchasing, you agree to respect and uphold the culture and spirit of Carnival.
2. Costume Purchase & Payments
- All purchases are final and non-refundable.
- Costumes cannot be exchanged, transferred, or resold until fully paid.
- Full payment must be completed by 31 July 2026.
- Failure to complete payment by this date may result in your costume being released without refund.
3. Costume Collection
- Collection will take place between Saturday 22 August – Saturday 29 August 2026.
- Your specific collection slot will be confirmed via email closer to Carnival.
- Costumes cannot be posted or delivered under any circumstances.
- You must present:
- Valid photo ID
- Order confirmation
- Third-party collection may be permitted only with prior approval and matching documentation.
4. Costume Production Disclaimer
- Costumes are produced based on submitted measurements; no alterations or refunds will be offered.
- While every effort is made to match prototypes, minor variations may occur due to material availability and production processes.
5. Event Participation & Conduct
By joining the band, you agree to:
- Follow all band instructions, safety measures, and steward guidance.
- Respect fellow masqueraders, staff, and the public at all times.
- Uphold the experience and energy of the band.
Failure to comply may result in removal from the band without refund.
6. Dutty Mas (Paint & Powder) Guidelines – Sunday Only
For masqueraders participating in Dutty Mas:
- No external substances (paint, powder, mud, chocolate, etc.) may be brought into the band.
- All paint and powder will be provided and controlled by band staff only.
- Distribution will begin only after the band has moved from the starting point.
Strictly prohibited:
- Applying or throwing paint/powder on:
- Members of the public
- Judges
- Children
- Police or officials
- Anyone outside of the band
- Applying substances to any public or private property
Restricted zones:
- No paint or powder use between:
- Elkstone Road & Great Western Road → Westbourne Park Road & Chepstow Road (Judging Point)
- While vehicles are turning corners
Any breach:
- Immediate wristband removal and ejection from the band
- Personal liability for damages
- Details may be shared with authorities if required
7. Cancellations & Force Majeure
- In the event of cancellation or postponement of Notting Hill Carnival, all payments remain non-refundable.
- Your package will be transferred to:
- The rescheduled date, or
- The following year’s Carnival
8. Resale Assistance
- If you are unable to attend after full payment, the band may assist in reselling your costume to customers within our network.
- This is not guaranteed and remains at the band’s discretion.
